Giving People a Chance
Our mission is to improve people’s lives by helping them secure stable housing.
Our First Initiative
Housing Stability Grants
The Cooper Charitable Foundation officially announced its first initiative on April 2, 2024. We are offering a Housing Stability Grant program to help people secure housing or stay in their homes. Working with other non-profit organizations, we identify those in need and ways we can assist.
If you find yourself working hard but are still unable to meet your monthly expenses, don’t worry – we’re here to help. The Foundation will provide gap funding for up to six months, helping people through challenging times.
Our vision is to ensure that everyone has a chance at a better future. Safe and stable housing is key.
For those of you considering a donation to the Foundation, please know that 100 percent of your dollars will go directly to our program participants. Our founder, John Cooper of Cooper Tacia General Contracting Company, covers all salaries and foundation expenses and has also contributed $100,000 toward the housing stability grant program.
Your generosity will be helping those who need our assistance the most.

“The Wake Tech Foundation has worked extremely hard over the past 30 years to build a strong base of need and academic-based scholarships to assist our students with their pursuit of higher education. But more and more students need help with ‘life needs’, primarily housing. Our mission is to remove the barriers to academic success and housing insecurity is at the top of that list. We are grateful to work with — for the first time — a foundation that is solely focused on helping our students stabilize their living situations. The Cooper Charitable Foundation is critical to our college and helping our students realize their dreams!”
