Our Finances

The Cooper Charitable Foundation, a public 501(c)3, was founded by John Cooper, President and CEO of Cooper Tacia General Contracting Company. The Foundation provides housing stability grants to help people access safe and stable housing or prevent them from losing their housing.

As part of John’s commitment, all overhead related to the Foundation is paid for by the construction company, including salaries and expenses. This means that all donations we receive go directly to help those in need.

We also double our impact as John matches the money raised at our fundraisers and through special events. For example, in 2025, John matched the $103,000 that was raised at our April fundraiser and the $58,000 raised through Give Raleigh and Raleigh Magazine, bringing our total to $322,000 – money that is going directly to support our mission.
