Meet Katherine Jackson, Advisory Board Member
We are excited to welcome Katherine Jackson to the Cooper Charitable Foundation’s Board of Advisors. She has been in the hospitality field her entire career. For more than eight years, she has served as the Director of Sales and Marketing at the DoubleTree Raleigh Durham Airport at Research Triangle Park. In this role, she has led the sales team and assisted with a variety of clientele and special events, while ensuring success for the hotel. Her passion for service goes beyond hospitality, she uses these industry attributes to find ways to give back to the community and build connections.
Katherine reached out to us when she read about the Cooper Charitable Foundation, asking if there was a way she could volunteer. Here’s what she told us: “We all need help at times, one way or another. Being able to be part of a foundation that helps those unsheltered find housing and prevents others from becoming homeless is so important to me. I also want to bring awareness to the fact that hard times can easily fall on any of us and can be devastating to individuals and families. I want to help remove the stigma that is all too often associated with those who are unsheltered. We all deserve to be treated humanely.”
Her goals perfectly match our mission and vision. We want our neighbors to be respected and cared for. We can’t wait to work with her and our full board to ensure that people in our community have a safe and secure home. That’s how we change lives — together.
Please consider a donation to the Foundation, so we can prevent people from losing their homes. Together, we can all make a difference.
